VIVEROCK was founded in Nairobi in 2018 out of a simple frustration: the construction industry was broken by fragmentation. Clients were stuck managing the gap between their architect and their contractor — and paying dearly for it.
We set out to fix that by doing something radical: bringing every discipline in-house. Our architects, structural engineers, and construction team work together from the very first client conversation to the final walk-through. Not handed off. Not coordinated at arm's length. Actually together.
Over eight years, that model has proven itself across residential villas, commercial developments, mixed-use complexes, and institutional buildings across Kenya and East Africa. Our clients get a single point of contact, a single contract, and a team that takes full ownership of outcomes — not just deliverables.

Holds a degree in Civil Engineering and a diploma in Construction Management. Vive founded VIVEROCK in 2016 to bring structural integrity, design, and construction together under one accountable roof.
Faith leads the design team — translating client visions into buildable, beautiful spaces. She works hand-in-hand with engineering from concept through construction documentation.
Mutua is the client's first point of contact — ensuring clear communication from the first enquiry through project handover, while growing VIVEROCK's presence across Kenya and East Africa.
BUILT OVER TIME
Vive Ochieng establishes VIVEROCK in Nairobi with a single mission: bring architecture, engineering, and construction under one roof to eliminate the fragmentation that was failing clients.
VIVEROCK completes its first multi-unit commercial development in Konza Area, Machakos — delivered 3 weeks ahead of schedule and under budget. The integrated model proves itself.
VIVEROCK brings architecture, structural and MEP engineering fully in-house, completing the integrated model. Design, engineering, and construction now fully coordinated from day one.
VIVEROCK delivers its 50th project — a 6-storey mixed-use development in Migori. The firm earns its reputation as the most accountable design-build firm.
VIVEROCK begins taking on projects across Kenya, bringing the integrated design-build approach to new markets.
VIVEROCK crosses the 100-project milestone with a 98% client satisfaction rate. The team grows to include different professionals across architecture, engineering, and construction.
